Greece, (also called the "Hellenic Republic") is located on the Southern Coast of Europe, and is popular for it's unique white architecture across the beautiful crystal clear sea. Greece has many islands that have the perfect weather for a nice swim in the water or just sun bathing on the white sands. If the sea isn't the type for you, you can always experience the refreshing air in the mountains, or the main cities of Greece that contain the ancient artefacts of Greece's history.

Greece is the just the place you would want to be for a relaxing beach holiday for all ages, or a fun and non-stop enjoyment of night life for young adults looking for a party to join!
Here's some of my top spots I would like to visit when I go to Greece.
CYCLADES ISLANDS
One of the most popular places in Greece; Cyclades, is an island complex (roughly 200 islands) located close to Athens on the Aegean Sea, which It only takes a few hours to get there by ferry from the harbour. Cyclades islands are mostly famous for the architecture of buildings built with white and green marble with their signature bright blue roofs standing on the cliffs of the island's rocks facing a fantastic view of the sea ahead. Visitors can experience the true history of Greece and their culture preserved in monuments and buildings. Also cruising around the many islands of Cyclades would be like being in the scenery of a landscape photo you have only seen on the web or postcards. You will be engulfed and mesmerised by it's natural beauty! Greece's native cat; The Aegean cats are originated from the islands of Cyclades.

City of Santorini http://stunningplaces.net/a-short-guide-on-what-to-do-in-santorini/ |
Santorini Island
The most popular island from the Cyclades Islands and Greece in total; Santorini Island, formed from a massive volcano eruption in the 17th century. Hence, this is the main reason why people go to visit the Island of Santorini. The weather on this island is usually sunny and dry, great for water activities, cruises and chilling on the beach with a nice cold beverage looking out into the sea. What's more than just swimming and tanning? Well you can visit the historical ruins on Santorini!
The ancient ruins of the City of Akarotiri, which was covered in the ashes of past volcano eruptions. Which is being carefully preserved for archaeologists and tourists.

Temple of Poseidon http://templeofposeidon.blogspot.com.au/ |
If you love Greek mythology, then Greece is where you should be! This Temple is only partially completed as the original Temple was destroyed by the Persians in the Persian war. It was built for Poseidon (God of the sea) for their safe return from the sea. Its is also said that Menelaus the King of Troy visited this Temple to bury his helmsman here.
As well as the interesting facts of the Greek mythology, many tourists come to see the beautiful sunset and horizon of the Aegean Sea.
